Bikers and scooter drivers often have their own unique jargon and phrases that reflect their passion for riding and their camaraderie within the community. Here are some common words and phrases used by bikers and scooter drivers so you can connect with the community!

1. Rider lingo:
Rider: A person who rides a motorcycle or scooter.
Two-wheeler: A term encompassing both motorcycles and scooters.
Hog: A slang term for a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Cruiser: A type of motorcycle designed for comfortable long-distance cruising.
Sportbike: A motorcycle designed for performance and speed.
Scoot: A casual term for a scooter.
Crotch rocket: A colloquial term for a fast and powerful sportbike.
Chopper: A customized motorcycle with extended forks and a distinctive look.
Bobber: A minimalist custom motorcycle with a stripped-down appearance.
Rat bike: A motorcycle that is intentionally left in a weathered, unfinished state.
Lane splitting: Riding between lanes of slow-moving or stopped traffic.

Formation: The arrangement of riders while riding in a group.
Lead rider: The rider at the front of a group.
Tail rider: The rider at the back of a group.
Sweeper: A rider who stays at the back to ensure no one gets left behind.
Pace: The speed at which the group is riding.
Staggered formation: A riding formation where riders are offset in adjacent lanes.
Kickstands up: The signal to start the ride.
4. Expressions and greetings:
Keep the rubber side down: A farewell expression wishing safe riding.
Ride safe: A common sign-off indicating a wish for safe travels.
Highside: A type of motorcycle crash where the rider is thrown over the bike.
Lowside: A type of motorcycle crash where the bike slides out from under the rider.
On two wheels: A way to describe being on a motorcycle.
Biker's tan: Sunburn or tan lines acquired while riding.
